The Gustavo Silvestre Creation Centre began its journey in 2021, stemming from Gustavo Silvestre's initial original works after nearly two decades working in the performing arts. Since its inception, the research has stemmed from the intersection of dance, theatre and audiovisual arts, languages that run through the training and career of its artistic director.

The first work of this journey was “Dédalo”, an experimental short film created during the pandemic and permeated by the anxieties of that period. The piece inaugurated a hybrid exploration between body, stage and audiovisual media that went on to guide subsequent creations. Also in 2021, “Por Dentro” was born, a dance film shot in the urban landscapes of Goiânia, which was screened at national festivals, such as the International Environmental Film and Video Festival (FICA), and reached the international circuit through the Dance Film Festival Brussels, in Brussels, Belgium.

In 2022, this research reaches the stage with the premiere of “Metamorfose” (Metamorphosis), Gustavo Silvestre's first solo show. Inspired by Franz Kafka's work, the creation expands the Núcleo's trajectory and begins an important touring process. Between 2023 and 2024, the show travels through various Brazilian states and arrives in Europe, taking part in the Imaginarius Festival in Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal, where it receives the Public Jury Special Award, and the Buffer Fringe Performing Arts Festival in Nicosia, Cyprus.

In 2024, new creations expand the repertoire and fields of activity. In the audiovisual sector, “Um breve instante para o agora” addresses environmental issues through a poetic and sensorial perspective, with screening and mediation activities held in various institutions. On stage, “Cosmos Colapso” premieres, deepening the research into body, image, sound and technology based on the relationships between human beings and the cosmos.

With the growth in productions and touring activities, the need for a permanent structure for artistic research and development also arises. In 2025, Estúdio Silvestre is inaugurated in Goiás, a space that will host rehearsals, creative processes, research, meetings and educational activities.

This pathway consolidates the Gustavo Silvestre Creation Centre as an artistic structure dedicated to creation and ongoing research in dance, theatre and audiovisual work. Under the artistic direction of Gustavo Silvestre and executive production by Wanderson Gaspar, the Centre brings together a team of professionals from the artistic, technical, production and communication fields, alongside various collaborators involved in its creations and projects.

In 2026, this trajectory reaches a new milestone with its selection under the Notice for the Ongoing Maintenance of Art Groups and Companies of the Aldir Blanc National Policy – PNAB Goiás. The project “Núcleo de Criação Gustavo Silvestre – Artistic Maintenance, Touring and Expansion” enables the continuity of a permanent team and the development of research, rehearsal, repertoire touring, training, cultural mediation and the expansion of the Núcleo's activities.

Today, the Core operates on the basis of this ongoing work, keeping its repertoire in motion and developing new research and creations. More than bringing together different languages, it seeks to build a permanent space for artistic investigation, in which body, stage and audiovisual media meet to create new forms of experience and relationship with the audience.
